Marriott International announces first marriott all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic to open 2025

Marriott International in the CALA region announced the latest addition to its All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy portfolio with the signing of Marriott Miches Beach, An All-Inclusive Resort, currently the Sunrise Miches Beach Resort in Dominican Republic. Set to undergo a conversion process commencing in Q2 2024, the resort is slated to open its doors under the Marriott Hotels brand in early 2025.

Nestled on a sprawling 62 acre site in the enchanting locale of Miches, 60-minutes from Punta Cana International Airport, the resort boasts nearly 1,000 feet of pristine beachfront. It will feature 498 rooms, with balconies and terraces, and select accommodations offering private swim up pools.

“All-Inclusive resorts are enjoying immense popularity, and the Dominican Republic is a prime destination for growth, whether through new builds or conversions,” said Laurent de Kousemaeker, Chief Development Officer for Marriott International in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Following Marriott Hotels’ legacy of elevating the guest experience, the resort will showcase a wide array of amenities, including a spa, retail area, three expansive pools with poolside bars, six restaurants, three pop-up venues, stylish bars, a serene jacuzzi lounge, approximately 8,600 square feet of indoor meeting space, a vibrant discotheque, and a fully equipped gym.

With nearly 600 hotels and resorts, Marriott Hotels has already made an indelible mark on both the modern business and leisure traveller. As the All-Inclusive segment continues to thrive, Marriott Hotels All-Inclusive concept continues to adapt to meet and exceed the evolving needs of multigenerational travellers, and providing experiences elevated beyond the everyday.

Following the announcement of the first Marriott All-Inclusive Resort, in Cancun (Mexico) in late 2023 (set to open in March 2024), the Marriott Miches Beach, An All-Inclusive Resort, Dominican Republic, joins a portfolio of worldwide properties debuting into Marriott Hotels All-Inclusive flagship throughout 2024 and 2025.
